MEGAN WIEMERS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Megan Reneé Wiemers, 48, of Muscatine, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of, Daniel Wiemers. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Wiemers, Nathan McDaniel, Aaden Wiemers, Nick Wiemers, Josh McDaniel, Matt Hartung, Mikey Lowe, Sean McDaniel, and Stephen McDaniel. A Celebration of Life will be held between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the American Legion Post 27.

Megan was born on March 31, 1976, in Iowa City, the daughter of Stephen McDaniel and Sheryl Hartung. On September 25, 2010, Megan Mcdaniel married the love of her life, Daniel Wiemers.

Megans family and friends describe her as the life of the party. Anywhere she went, she was happy and enjoyed every moment she had with family and friends. She loved homemaking projects. She also really enjoyed camping and being around a campfire having lots of laughs and especially spending that time with family. She enjoyed the holiday because it meant she had family time and that is what she enjoyed the most. The best part of her life was drinking beer and karaoke with family.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Daniel Wiemers of Muscatine; mother, Sheryl Hartung of Muscatine; mother-in-law, Connie Wiemers of Muscatine; children, Nathan McDaniel (Heather) and their 11 children, Madilynn McDaniel (Matt), Abigail McDaniel, Emma Doughty (Dustin) and their child, Nick, Aaden, and Alexis Wiemers; siblings, Kate McDaniel (Dustin), Stephen (Shannon), Sean, and Josh McDaniel; nieces, Katelynn Beemblossom and her two children, Hanna, Camryn, Ireland, and Kileigh; nephews, Jacob Smith and his daughter, KJ Scott, Leo, Clay, Owen, Christian, Zach, and Brennon; Aunts, Deborah Levonyak, Rhonda Lowe (Gary) and their children, Matt Hartung (Susan); and best friends, Diane Bush, Trisha Knight, and Dina Kouame; and her loving fur babies, Hamm and Joe.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley; father, Stephen; Uncle Jay; father-in-law, John Wiemers; sister-in-law, Carrie and husband, Kevin Scott.
