MONICA JANE CARTER
MUSCATINE, Iowa – Monica Jane Carter, born November 10th, 1985, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospital on June 11th, 2026, after a fierce and courageous year and a half battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind her husband, Daniel Carter; her mom, Tina (Hooker) Djumaev and partner Brian; her sister, Courtney Beesley and fiancé Corey; her brother, Zack Beesley; 3 nephews, Landen, Leeland, and Lunden; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice and Albert Hooker; an uncle, Bryan Wheeler; great grandparents, Alice and James Hooker; and great grandparents, Marie and Chester Wheeler.
She enjoyed going to concerts, amusement parks, going to Las Vegas, UFC fights, and going for rides on the Harley motorcycle. She was a black belt in Tae kwon Do. She enjoyed playing video games online with friends on her PlayStation 5. She also enjoyed doing Diamond paintings, playing her guitar, watching ghost shows her favorite one was Ghost Adventures, and crocheting hats and scarves. She loved animals. Her favorite mammal was dolphins. She was always kind to everyone, always willing to help with anything that needed to be done. She enjoyed doing Bible study and going to church.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com
