MURIEL CHENOWETH

MUSCATINE, IA – Muriel Chenoweth, 78, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Lutheran Living.

Muriel was born on October 8, 1947, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Duane and Edith Radliff Whitbeck. She married Floyd Chenoweth on July 17, 1965, in Council Bluffs.

Muriel enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and yard work. She had a passion for rescuing and raising dogs.

Muriel is survived by her husband, Floyd; children, Debbie (Jay) Holmes and Jay (Lori) Chenoweth; grandchildren, Austin Holmes, Brandon Chenoweth, and Bailey Chenoweth; and great grandchildren, Kameron Jay and Kai Rollin.  

Muriel is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cheryl Chenoweth; and her siblings, Phyllis, Janet, and Duane.
