NANCY JEAN SWAB

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Nancy Jean Swab, 86, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Premier Estates.

Nancy was born on September 2, 1937, in Muscatine, the daughter of Fred A. and Elizabeth Curry Carpenter. She married Paul Swab on September 22, 1956, in Muscatine, Iowa at the St. Mathias Catholic Church, a month short of celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary.

Nancy graduated from Muscatine High School class of 1955.

Nancy enjoyed collecting, especially Isabelle Blooms and Madame Alexander dolls. She enjoyed sewing and birds, mostly cardinals. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Paul of Muscatine; two children, Mike Swab and his wife, Jean, of Illinois City, IL, and Paula Varner and her husband, Richard, of Indiana; grandchildren, Austin Swab and his wife, Jessica, Jared Swab, and Janey Varner; great grandchildren, Adley and Garrett; and sister, Patricia Huber and her husband, Wayne, of Columbus, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
