OTIS HASKINS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Otis D. Haskins, 76, passed away on May 17, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the American Legion, 110 S Houser Street Muscatine, Iowa 52761, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fairport Cemetery. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com

Otis was born on October 26, 1949, in Ava, Missouri, the son of Elmus and Bonnie Haskins. He married Nadine Ricketts on March 29, 1968.

Otis worked in the auto body repair business his entire adult life; learning the trait from his uncles Don and Dale Collins. Otis operated his own business for many years at Haskins Auto Body Shop.

For the past few years Otis had the privilege of fishing with his son, Kevin and grandson, Chance. Otis also spent many fishing days with Uncle Dec and brother-in-law, Bill Call. The fishing stories that came out of those trips were something we all enjoyed hearing.

In his younger days, attending dances at the Eagles Lodge and American Legion and later in life playing canasta with friends Jerry and Cathy Henning was something Otis enjoyed.

Otis is survived by his wife Nadine Haskins; son, Kevin (Dae); grandchildren, Hailey, Porscha, Cody, Rypleigh, and Chance, and great grandson, Dawson, siblings, Donna (Bill) Call, and Larry Haskins, sister-in-law Pam (Steve) and Aunt Mary Crain (Johnnie).

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Steve, and Randy, sisters-in-law Vicki and Lorrie.
