PAMELA KAY YOCOM

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Pamela ‘Pam’ Kay Yocom, 73, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at home.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Tye Male will officiate. Burial will be in Island Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will take place after the burial at Mulford Evangelical Free Church.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Pam was born on December 22, 1951, in Muscatine, the daughter of Kenneth Sr. and Beverly Cozad Herlein. She married Gene Yocom on May 23, 1975, in Milan, Illinois.

She enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, cooking, painting, making ceramics, crocheting, baking pies, and gardening. Pam liked to be outside and was not afraid to get dirty. Pam loved her grand and great grandchildren. She was always barefoot and had a unique color scheme for decorating the inside and outside of the house.

Pam is survived by her husband, Gene; her daughter, Melissa (Gavin) Darnell; five grandchildren, Henry, Miranda, Abby, Tyler, and Neal; eight great grandchildren; her mother, Beverly Herlein; several nieces and nephews; and five siblings, Roxanne, Kenneth (Terry), Harry, Bonnie (Mike), and Jeffrey (Jo).

She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth; brother, Steven Herlein; son, Tommy Jr.; and sister-in-law, Darla.
