PAUL ALLEN BROOKHART

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Paul Allen Brookhart, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Sturgill Hospice House in Brookville, Florida.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude.

Paul was born on March 26, 1947, in Muscatine, the son of Delbert A. and J. Iris Meakes Brookhart. He married Rhea Marie Goddard on March 15, 1980, in Muscatine.

Paul worked at Schmarje Machine, Carver Pump, and Bandag Inc. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, and Union Hall.

Paul enjoyed being outdoors whether it was boating, fishing, skiing, mushroom hunting, or golfing. He liked classic cars, especially the 1957 Chevy cars. He was an avid Hawkeye, Dodgers, and Minnesota Vikings fan.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rhea; children, Joel (Michele) Neely and Jennifer (Scott) Haney; 5 grandchildren, Kole Neely, Joel Neely III, Austin Haney Lovstad, Ashly Haney Kuhlenbeck, Allison Haney Guerrero; great grandchildren, Elin Kuhlenbeck, Vail Kuhlenbeck, Ashton Guerrero, Sophia Guerrero, Greyson Guerrero, Xiarra Neely, Tyler Carr, and Jenna Lovstad; and aunt, Jeanette Shellabarger. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.
