PAUL C. 'MIKE' DICKERSON

 

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Paul C. 'Mike' Dickerson, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at his home.

 

 

Per Mike's wishes, his body was cremated and there will be no services. Mike gave the gift of life through donation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to his granddaughter, Nicole Lara. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

 

 

 

Paul was born on September 20, 1938, in New Buda, Iowa, the son of Clyde and Helen Rockhold Dickerson. He married Nancy Smith in Missouri. They later divorced.

 

 

Mike was a truck driver for several years. He had also worked for the Rock Quary and helped farm. Mike was a jack of all trades. He would give a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

 

 

Mike enjoyed being outside, fishing, camping, going to Old Threshers, and working on his tractor. Mike enjoyed being around Nicole, David, and Noah, whom they all shared a home together. For the past 13 years, he has loved spending time with his great grandson, Noah. Mike would refer to himself as the most stubborn "asshole" ever known and would laugh about it.

 

 

Mike will be deeply missed by granddaughter, Nicole Lara and her husband, David, and their son, Noah from Muscatine; John and Kassi Rice and their children from Ainsworth, Iowa; siblings, Maggie Elliot and her husband, Bob, from Iowa City, Gary Dickerson from Quincy, Illinois, and Norma Stutzman from Buffalo, Missouri; and his 11 children and their families.

 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Jeffery; and siblings, Ruby Liechty, Bill Kindred, Carl Kindred, Lois Drayfahl, Kate Ahrens, and Jean Black.
