RANDY ROBERTSON

MUSCATINE, Iowa –Randy ‘Catfish’ Robertson, 65, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Accura Nursing home.

There will be no services. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Randy was born on March 11, 1960, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Daniel Robertson and Patricia Cox McDonald.

Randy loved to fish. He was an avid fisherman, his specialty was catching those catfish, from which is where he got his nickname from. He enjoyed pool and a good drink of Crown Royal. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a very good cook and could put anything together and it would be good. He loved to feed people and help out wherever he could.

Randy is survived by his sisters, Deanna Castillo and her husband, Roy, of Muscatine and Sara Sedam and her husband, Andy, of New Boston, Illinois; his brother, Steve Robertson and his wife, Jenn, of Iowa City; nephews, Jacob Dusenberry and John Robertson, along with many other nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve, Carl, Keith, Elden, Sofia, and Zy’Air.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, Jim McDonald; brother, Craig Robertson; nephew, Nathan Robertson; and his beloved dog, Fozzi Bear.
