ILLINOIS CITY, Illinois – Richard Earl Berghefer, 82, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Trinity Bettendorf, with his granddaughter, Amber, by his side.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
