ROBERT LEROY KRUSE

MUSCATINE, IOWA – Robert Leroy Kruse, 73, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Lutheran Living, surrounded by family.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Tammy Kruse. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Robert was born on April 13, 1951, in Muscatine, the son of Richard John and Kathyrn VanDyke Kruse. He married Mary Kay Wieskamp in 1970. They later divorced.

Robert was an avid NASCAR and Vikings fan. He enjoyed being outside fishing and camping. He loved his Budlight and Wild Turkey. Robert cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his children, Scott Kruse, Tammy Kruse (Matt Whitlow), and Tonia McCullough (Kevin); grandchildren, Kayla Reedy (Jared), Tyler Kruse (Jen), Samantha Martin, Chase Kruse (Kyrah), and Trea Kruse; great grandchildren, Paisley, Carson, Cambrie, and Colsyn; and siblings, Bonnie Kruse, Randy Kruse, Leslie ‘Moke’ Kruse, and Rick Kruse.

He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Savannah Hahn; and siblings, Mike and Carl Kruse, Emma Nesbit, Pat Munson, and Peggy Willet.
