RODNEY JOE REYNOLDS

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Rodney Joe Reynolds, 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church and Disabled Veterans National Foundation.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor Kayla Lange-Carney will officiate. A time for food and fellowship will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Proof Social in Muscatine. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Rodney was born on February 1, 1951, in Muscatine, the son of Robert J. and Roma F. Connor Reynolds. He married Connie K. Stratton and they had one son together, Jesse. They later divorced.  

Rodney was a 1969 graduate of Muscatine High School. He retired from Carver Pump after 45 years of being a machinist.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, and going to Pete’s Tap. He was an avid LA Dodgers fan and a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved being a dad and was so proud of Jesse and all of his accomplishments. He loved being a grandpa and enjoyed watching his grandkids playing sports.

Rodney is survived by his son, Jesse Lee Reynolds and his wife, Nicole Marie Caster-Reynolds of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Alyssa Lauren Caster-Reynolds, Joseph Lawrence Reynolds, and Kaylie Patricia Reynolds all of Muscatine; siblings, Sheila Monahan and her husband, Ron of Muscatine; David Reynolds and his wife, Jean, of West Liberty, IA, Harley Reynolds and his wife, Jill, of Muscatine, and Shelley Wolfe and her husband, Roger, of Green Bay, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive; and brothers-in-law, Fritz Stratton of Muscatine and Fred Stratton of New Boston, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
