RONALD KENNETH HESTON

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ronald Kenneth Heston, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Lutheran Living.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Jonathan Cox of the Island United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Murdock, Pam Murdock, Teresa Murdock Sprague, Patricia Murdock Parmenter, Kevin Sprague, and Jim Parmenter. Honorary pallbearer will be Jane Murdock.

Ronald was born on July 15, 1938, in Muscatine, the son of Marlan Kenneth and Dorothy Genevieve Askam Heston.

He attended Corwin School in Fruitland Township. He worked at Russelloy Foundry in Durant for 30 years before retiring in 2002.

Ronald enjoyed the Iowa Hawkeyes, old tractors, farming, polka music, and trains. He loved to roller skate in his younger years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, in 1986 and father, Marlan, in 2008.
