RUTH ELAINE ALLBEE
MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ruth Elaine Allbee, 90, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at her home.
A private graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery. The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made in her honor to a charity of their choosing. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Ruth was born on April 24, 1935, in Wilton, the daughter of Earl and Irene Kelley Atkinson. She married Leslie Alan Allbee on August 15, 1962, at St. Mary’s Rectory in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2022.
Ruth was the 9th out of 10 children. She graduated from Wilton High School.
She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and baseball. She loved going to the casino with her family.
Ruth is survived by her son, Robert Allbee; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Helen Atkinson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie; and her nine siblings, Francis, Grace, Ken, Junior, Mary, Betty, Shirley, Jerry, and Evelyn.
