MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ryan Willis McFarland, 52, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Funeral Service for the McFarland family will be 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ss. Mary Mathias Church. Ryan was born on January 2, 1974, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert W. and Rita M. Nitzscher McFarland.

He graduated Highschool and continued his education by receiving his Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and PhD.

Ryan enjoyed running marathons, tennis, football, baseball, building things, going on walks, and watching movies, especially Iron Man. He loved gyros, peak energy drinks, and spending time with his family and dogs.

Ryan is survived by his son, Johnathan McFarland; mother, Rita; and siblings, Maureen Maeschen, Monica Wolfe, Mark McFarland, and Robin Fitzgerald.

He is preceded in death by his father and children, Ryle, Mark, and Ryan Scott.
