MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ryan Scott McFarland, 13, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Funeral Service for the McFarland family will be 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Ss. Mary Mathias Church. Ryan was born on October 23, 2012, in Iowa, the son of Ryan and Lesa Purinton McFarland.

Ryan attended Susan Clark Junior High.

Ryan had a deep passion for sports, especially playing and watching baseball, basketball, football, and tennis. He also enjoyed watching movies and playing video games with his brothers and friends. In his free time, he collected sports cards, listened to music, watched YouTube, and played with his Nerf guns.

Ryan is survived by his brother, Johnathan McFarland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ryan and Lesa McFarland and siblings, Ryle McFarland, Mark McFarland, Dakota Whitlow, and Austin Harris.
