SANDRA JO FINLEY

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Sandra Jo Finley, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Aleese Kenitzer will be officiating. Burial will be in Nicholas Cemetery. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com.         

Sandra was born on March 28, 1942, Muscatine, the daughter of Gilbert and Marie Broadston Reinier. She married C Robert Secrist in 1959, in Muscatine. They later divorced. Sandra then married Gary Finley in 1988, he preceded her in death in 2016.

Sandra received her Associate of Nursing degree from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. She worked as a pediatric nurse in Battle Creek and later as an Occupational Nurse at Tyson Foods and Heinz in Muscatine, Iowa.

She loved her family, animals, and red roses. Sandra also enjoyed her years riding across the country with Gary during their years as owner-operators of G&S Trucking.   

Sandra will be deeply missed by her children, Susan Youngquist and her husband, Mark, Vicki Senkewitz and her husband, David; and stepson, Randy Finley and his wife, Candy. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Lindsey Youngquist, Taylor Johnson and husband, Tyler, Shelbey Senkewitz, Courtney Ballard and her husband, Dylan, Travis Finley and his wife, Heather, Rebecca Trent and her husband, David, Stephanie Suman and husband, Scott, Stephen Finley and wife, Virginia, Joshua Finley, and Christina Kroeger and husband, Bob; 15 great grandchildren; and stepbrother, Mike Vartanian and wife, Lynn.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Glendola Reinier; husband, Gary Finley; grandson, Gary Finley; brothers, Gary and Stevie Reinier; and two infant children, Clarence Gilbert and Stephen Robert Secrist.
