MUSCATINE, Iowa – Shirley B. Miller, 87, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at her home.

Shirley was born on December 29, 1936, in Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Gladys Clark Green. She married Duayne Miller on October 22, 1957, in Washington, Iowa. He preceded her in death.

She was an avid traveler and spent many years as a flight attendant. She especially loved being in California and in St. Louis. She was a Muscatine County Recorder for many years. She loved reading, decorating, and relaxing with a cup of coffee. She enjoyed shopping, and she always had all the fashionable outfits, shoes, and accessories. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on trips, especially on back-to-school shopping trips. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. Her family was her world, and she would never let an opportunity slip by for her to brag about her family.

Shirley is survived by her grandchildren, Molly (Joseph) Kurz of Muscatine; Stacey (Scott) Barker of Byron, Illinois, Jennifer (Paul) Heiar of Blue Grass, Iowa, Noah Miller, Grant Greenley, and Josh Greenley all of Muscatine; great grandchildren, Megan (Danielle) Caughron of Jefferson, Georgia, Allison Graham of Muscatine, Trevor Barker of Byron, Illinois, Bailey Heiar of Blue Grass, Iowa, Brady Heiar of Blue Grass, Iowa, Rachel Kurz of Muscatine, and Ben Kurz of Muscatine; and daughter-in-law, Fran Miller.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duayne; son, Steve Miller; and daughter, Lisa Miller.
