STEVEN CRAIG DAHNKE

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Steven Craig Dahnke, 59, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Pastor Sharon Phillips will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of his wife, Kim. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Steven was born on August 6, 1966, in Muscatine, the son of Kenneth L. and Grace Hargrave Dahnke. He was united in marriage to Kimberly K. Morgan on May 29, 1987, in Muscatine. They were married for 38 years.

Steven was a 1985 graduate of Muscatine High School. He was a hard worker and had a variety of hard jobs throughout his life, most recently at Raymond Corporation.

Steven enjoyed camping with his friends, Denzel and Connie Whitehall, especially at Lake Red Rock. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races, his favorite driver being Mark Martin. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His greatest joy in life was his grandsons, as they referred to him as “Bampa”.

Steven is survived by his wife, Kimberly, of Muscatine; sons, Jacob (Karina) Dahnke and Ben Dahnke, both of Muscatine; grandsons, Maximiliano ‘Max’ Dahnke and Derek Dahnke; sisters, Vicki Plett and Cindi (Ray) Bolton, both of Muscatine; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Jane and Willie Morgan; brothers-in-law, Glen Morgan and Bruce Plett; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
