TEDDY LAVERNE HATFIELD JR.
MUSCATINE, Iowa – Teddy LaVerne Hatfield Jr., 55, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Ss. Mary Mathias Catholic Church. The Reverend Chris Weber will officiate. A private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Alex Lorentzen, Jacob Lorentzen, Noah Lorentzen, Kathy McConnaha, Tim Lissy, and Matthew Barnhart. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Kallenberger, Jim Barnhart, and Thomas Hatfield.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. A Vigil will be held following the visitation. Teddy LaVerne Hatfield Jr. was born on June 23, 1970. He was the son of Ted Sr. and Ann Barnhart Hatfield. He graduated from Muscatine High School. He had worked at various places.
Teddy loved his country, his BMW, hunting, especially in Colorado, and fishing, his “Viking Blood” and B.S.’n on the porch with his dad.
He is survived by his parents, Teddy Sr. and Ann Hatfield; his sister, Stacey (Leland) Lorentzen; his daughter, Avery Stanford; nephews, Alex (Jaime) Lorentzen, Jacob Lorentzen, and Noah Lorentzen; and his great nephews, Thomas and Lucas Lorentzen. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mabel Hatfield and Lee and Laura Barnhart, and great nephew, Matthew Lorentzen.
