THODORA REA LOVELL

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rea Lovell known by Gater by those who loved her passed away October 9, 2024, at University of Iowa Hospital, after a short battle of pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 28, 1947, the daughter of William Russell and Ellen Marie Hillman of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by a sister Allene and husband Tony Morse of North Carolina, a brother Russell and wife Denise Hillman of Muscatine, Iowa. Son Jeffrey Lovell of Muscatine and son Neal Lovell and wife Barb Titus of Muscatine. She had 7 grandsons: Anthony Lovell, Joseph Lovell, Alexander Lovell, Johnathan Lovell, Christopher Lovell, Shane Titus, and Trevor Titus of Muscatine.

Teddy attended and graduated from Muscatine High School, class of 1966, and attended Beauty College. She worked at Maid-Rite, Model Laundry and Leticia Corporation.

She married Warren Lovell in May 1968. She enjoyed 50’s and 60’s rock and roll music and dancing, she especially loved Elvis Presley and was a collector of memorabilia. She also liked to collect alligators, Betty Boop and Star Wars toys. She liked cooking and especially baking things, was an accomplished seamstress and also liked making various crafts. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and beloved pets peanut (dog) and Blackjack (cat).

A celebration of Life service will be held at Mulford Church on November 3rd at 1:30 pm. In Lieu of plants the family is asking for donations to be made to help with medical expenses.
