TONY EUGENE COLE

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Tony Eugene Cole, 54, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Choices. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery. Vern Cole will officiate.

Tony was born on October 27, 1971, in Muscatine, the son of Vernon E. Cole and Terry Honea Hunter.

Tony attended Muscatine Schools and was in the Special Olympics.

Tony enjoyed bowling, special Olympics activities, and walking. He never met a stranger and loved talking to people. He loved Christmas and his aunt Sherry’s noodles.

Tony is survived by his siblings, Mindy Cole, Christy (Brad) Cole, Brandy (Matt) Everhart, Misty Cole, Vern (Dena) Cole, Dale Dodd, Lisa (Leslie) Dodd, and Michael Dodd; aunts and uncles, Norma (Tim) Stelzner, Dean (Beth) Cole, Sherry (Randy) Morgan, Kathy (Mark) Seefeldt, and Babbie Lambert; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Betty Burgess; grandparents, Robert and Mary Honea and Ralph and Wilma Cole; and aunt, Dory Stecher.
