Trish Eck Obituary

TRISH ECK

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Trish Eck, 61, of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away on May 20, 2026.

Trish was born on April 24, 1965, and was lovingly welcomed into the family of Joseph and Leatha Eck through adoption. She graduated from North High School and later earned her degree from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa.

Trish began her career in customer service at Gateway Computers, where she was one of the company's original employees. Throughout her professional life, she dedicated herself to customer service roles with several organizations, including Vizio, Allstate, Esurance, and AAA Life Insurance.

Family was at the heart of Trish’s life. She treasured her role as “Auntie” to her nephews, Eric and Alex Klein. Some of her happiest memories were celebrating the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas with them, delighting in sparklers, festive outfits, and the perfect gifts. In recent years, she found great joy in becoming a great-aunt to Anthony Klein and continued her tradition of finding just the right toys to bring him happiness.

Trish enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: tending to her flowers, caring for her cats, working puzzles, watching movies, true-crime programs and uplifting videos, and enjoying a good grilled cheeseburger. She also loved bargain hunting with her sister, Lisbeth, and looked forward to their weekly shopping adventures, often traveling to nearby towns in search of the best deals.  Her favorite vacations were spent in what she called her “happy place,” Beaufort, North Carolina. There, she and her sister Sharon enjoyed walking along the beach, searching for shells in the surf, and exploring local thrift stores.

Family cherishing Trish’s memory includes her sisters, Lisbeth Klein and her husband, Jonathan, of Muscatine, Iowa, and Dr. Sharon Birmingham of Beaufort, North Carolina; her nephews, Eric Klein and his wife, Elizabeth, and their son, Anthony; and Alex Klein and his wife, Megan, all of Muscatine.

The Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations in Trish’s honor may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. Online Condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com
