WARREN “CLARKIE” CLARK

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Warren W. Clark, 84, of Muscatine, died Friday, August 22, 2008, at Unity Hospital.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Honorary bearers will be Denny Wheeler, Gerald Schubert, Larry Staats, Gregg Hawley, Mike Latimer, and all of his grandchildren. Casket bearers will be Cory Daufeldt, Lloyd Mosley, Dick Sneddon, Charlie Hathaway, Roger Stegall, and Max Kauffman. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, at the funeral home.

“Clarkie” was born on August 2, 1924, in Muscatine, the son of Walter and Louella Nolte Clark. He married Darlene Wachs on December 14, 1945, in Muscatine, she preceded him in death in 1991.

He was a former secretary of the Muscatine County Conservation Board.

“Clarkie” was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going to Colorado deer hunting for many years.

Survivors include his son, Warren Clark and special friend, Patty Wolfe, of Muscatine; on daughter, Pat Daufeldt of Muscatine; seven grandchildren, Bryant Ward and wife, Dawn, Mitch Ward and wife, Kelly, Amy Hernandez and husband, Catarino, Sara Ward, Cory Daufeldt and wife, Kendra, Megan Walker and husband, Mike, and Josh Clark; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, Karen Ward, and one sister.
