RICHARD H. MEYER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Richard H. Meyer, 76, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at ManorCare Health Services-Davenport.
Per Richard's wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made in his honor, in care of Karla, for the Wounded Warrior Project or Heartland Hospice. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Online condolences: www.wittichfuneralhome.com
Richard was born on September 1, 1945, in Muscatine, the son of Alfred and Mary Schmarje Meyer. He Graduated from Muscatine High School and Attended University of Iowa. He worked at Heinz, Econofoods, and farmed the family farm.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing pool, and playing blackjack at casinos. He was an avid White Sox, Dodgers, Bears, and Hawkeye fan.
Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam, stationed in Germany.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Meyer, and wife, Deb, of Muscatine; his niece, Karla M. Meyer of Rochester, Minnesota; and his nephew, Kevin L. Meyer, and wife, Jennifer, and their children, Madison and Hunter, of Muscatine.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
