EVELYN SHOEMAKER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Evelyn Shoemaker, 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at UnityPoint in Rock Island.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Evelyn was born on January 17, 1944, in Massachusetts, the daughter of Earl and Mildred Chipman Perham. She married Donald E. Shoemaker on March 4, 1960, in South Carolina. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2018.

Evelyn worked at Lutheran Living, as a cook, for 27 years. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Evelyn especially loved spending time with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, James Shoemaker and his wife, Sabrina, of Muscatine, David Shoemaker and his wife, Corina, of Wilton, Teresa Salek and her husband, Daryl, of Muscatine, Tim Shoemaker of Muscatine, and Charlotte Pallischeck and her husband, DeWayne, of Moscow; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Perham of Ft. Meyers, Florida.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; and a brother, Brad Perham.
