I saw Elaine in December when we went to Premier Christmas caroling. I am so glad I was able to see her one more time. Sweet lady.

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Elaine P. Petersen, 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Premier Estates.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church. Reverend Willie Rosin will officiate. Burial will take place in the Zion Lutheran Columbarium. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Muscatine Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Elaine was born on December 25, 1931, in Durant, the daughter of William and Martha D. Lafrenz Petersen Jr.
She was a nurse at Muscatine General Hospital, retiring in 1984 and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She loved her dogs, needle point, cross stitch, playing cards, and was an avid cubs fan.
She is survived by her kitty, and many friends and cousins.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Delane William Petersen.
